PREVIEW VERSION / 29 OCTOBER 2026

Accuracy before speed

Reporting should be checked against reliable sources. Dates, prices, names and practical details need verification before a story goes live. Where information is developing, we should say what is known and what remains uncertain.

Context, clearly written

We aim to explain why a story matters, with plain language and enough background for readers to make their own assessment. News, opinion, recommendations and paid partnerships should be recognisable as distinct formats.

People and places

Local stories deserve local context. We should represent people fairly, avoid stereotypes and take care with sensitive information. An illustrative photograph should never be presented as evidence of an event.

Commercial transparency

Paid stories and partnerships will be labelled clearly. Commercial interest should not be disguised as independent reporting, and audience or performance claims must be supportable.

Corrections and sources

Published articles should link to relevant source material where appropriate. Readers can submit a correction with the article URL and supporting detail. Material changes should be explained on the article.

This private preview

The stories currently on the site are samples for reviewing the design and reading experience. They are not original reporting or current recommendations. The launch needs approved articles, verified facts, final bylines and complete image credits.
